Historical trip to Derry
On Wednesday 18th September, the sixth year history class visited the Bogside Museum, The Apprentice Boys Memorial and walked the walls of Derry. To add to this historical experience the students witnessed an excavation behind the memorial, whereby Skelton remains had been found three days earlier. The archaeologist at the dig believed the remains dated back to pre-plantation (17Cth). Overall, a great day was had by all.
