TY Activity Week

After our camping trip the activity week continued at a hectic pace. On Wednesday the class went on a 1916 Walking Tour of Dublin with the inimitable Lorcan whose passion for the subject was rivalled only by his indepth knowledge. He really brought this chapter of history to life.

Following the tour we visited Irish Aid for a workshop. This was an eye-opener for us all. The class were divided into families and had to make decisions on education, food security and transport and see how their decisions impacted on their lives.

On Thursday we had a wonderful workshop from Mr Broderick. The class made butter the old-fashioned way and learned about match-making and many of the old customs and stories from our not too distant past.
