First year history students took part in 'The Big Dig' today on the grounds of CC. This is a hands-on workshop by professional archaeologists where students get to excavate a recreation of a Viking longhouse site of the type that have been found in Ireland. The students have just finished learning about archaeology in class, so what better way to reinforce this than by getting their hands dirty under the guidance of the pros!
