At the end of November, 1st and 2nd year Wood Technology students planted 10 native Irish sapling trees. We felt it was important as woodworkers to teach the younger generation the values of tree planting. Over 2 days: birch, beech and alder trees were planted by the students on the school grounds for all to enjoy now and for future generations. It is the ambition of the Wood Technology department to continue this activity every year. We here at Colaiste Chiarain would like to thank SAP Landscapes for their generous donation of the trees and help with this activity.
