Senior Debating Update

The Concern Debate team had another win in the competition, this time against Salesian College, Celbridge. The team, comprising of Saoirse Flattery (captain), Jack O'Donoghue, Owen Hoelzle and Mel Vincent Dela Cruz, successfully proposed the motion that "France should allow religious symbols in public institutions". A most interesting debate between the teams was had and made for a very entertaining evening. Next up, the team will travel to Maynooth Post Primary at the end of November to oppose the motion "International agreements on climate change are a load of 'hot air'".

The team would like to thank the students who came along to support them and act as chairperson, timekeeper and to help serve tea and coffee on the night. It's very much appreciated.
