Visit by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin
On Thursday 31st January Coláiste Chiaráin had the privilege of welcoming Archbishop Diarmuid Martin to our school.
As part of catholic schools week the archbishop said mass in the parish church where he was joined with representatives from all the local schools.On his arrival in Coláiste Chiaráin he was greeted by the head boy Gavin Cahill and the head girl Lia Flattery.Following a brief tour of the school his grace met with the transition year class and they shared their experience of transition year and the Youth Alpha course they recently completed. On the eve of the feast of St.Brigid the archbishop blessed some crosses which students had made before joining the transition years for lunch.
