Today two of our past students Tommy Mollick and Daragh McGlynn dropped into the school with the newly acquired U/21 Leinster Football Championship Trophy. The lads had a brief chat with our students and spoke of the difficulty they experienced in maintaining a balance between third level study requirements and the rigorous demands that are placed on todays inter county footballers.
Our students then had an opportunity to have their photos taken with the cup and a commitment was given to return later in the year when Kildare have won the all Ireland final. We wish both men the very best of luck in the semi final and our thoughts will be with Tommy as he attempts to become the first ever Leixlip man to captain a Kildare team to win an all Ireland football final.
