It is with great sadness that we heard of the death of Jody Price. For the past 3 years Jody has been a great friend to this school.
Jody first came to us to help with our Memorial Garden. On completion of that project we had a chat about our new classroom for students with Autism and the garden that had been built with it. With his customary generosity Jody offered to work with the students to develop the garden and teach them some horticulture skills.
Over the years Jody developed a very special relationship with the students in this school. This relationship was based on kindness and mutual respect. The garden grew in parallel with that relationship. Last summer it heaved with the bounty of their collective efforts. It was like a scene from Gardeners World.
In the staffroom Jody was engaging company and a good friend. He would dispense gardening advice when asked with his characteristic modesty. He was generous with his time and knowledge.
As Jody moves on, Paradise is about to become a more colourful and beautiful place.
