First Year Trip to Glendalough.

On Friday 19th April the first year students had an early start as they set off for Glendalough.The students were broken into three groups and had a very busy day ahead having to complete three different activities.The Geography department led the first activity examining the river for speed,bedload and cross section area.The second activity gave students an opportunity to learn about the history of Glendalough. The students viewed a short film before visiting the museum.This was followed with a brief oral presentation and a tour of the monastic site and round tower. On what was the most beautiful day of the year so far the sun shone on the final activity a hike around the upper lake. A great day was had by all.
