Our 1st year hike today was a great success with one hundred and thirty eager students being introduced to hill walking in the majestic surroundings of the Wicklow mountains. The day started with great promise as we assembled at 8am in the school grounds. A fleet of buses transported the group to Crone Wood car park and from here we set off on an 8km hike that provided us with a great view of Powerscourt waterfall and then up Maulin mountain.
Our students were accompanied on the hike by our Gluais and Peer Mentor teams who provided great support to all those in their care. We thank them and acknowledge the effort, energy and diligence that they bring to the role.
