Week 1 Orientation Overview

The first week of school is all about getting to know your way around the school, knowing who to ask for help and making new friends in your class.

In your first week of secondary school you'll have an assembly with the Principal and Deputy Principals and meet your new Year Head. You'll get a chance to tour the school when none of the other students are around so that you can familiarise yourself with the classrooms and layout.

DAY 1 Wednesday 30th August

The Principal and Deputy Principals will meet you and tell you all about the school. You'll learn what class you are in and meet your tutor and Year Head. This starts at 1:45 pm.

Meet Your New Classmates Activities

You'll take part in fun activities with tutors and Gluais students to allow you to get to know your new classmates and make new friends.

day 2 Thursday 31st August

Classes start at 10 am (until lunch time)

During the morning you'll take part in an activity called "Who's who and what they do". In this activity you'll meet various members of the school staff and learn what they do e.g. the school chaplain, the guidance counsellor and of course your Year Head and tutor.

You'll be assigned your new locker and shown where your social area is.

DAY 3

Day 3 is the beginning of your normal class routine. Classes start at 8:45 am and you will finish at 11:20 am.
