Since 1980 Colaiste Chiarain has established itself as cornerstone of the community as well as a school with a reputation for excellence.
In exams, grades achieved are a great reflection of the work that is put in at home and in school. The support of parents has been a major influence in these achievements and the school takes great pride in its students who realise their potential. The students continue this high standard in their extra curricular activities. While many teams and individuals have won county and Leinster titles, all competitors represent our school with commitment and a sense of fun. Some have gone on to represent their country in their chosen discipline. Extra curricular activities in this school encompass so much more than sports. Quizzes, debates and the Young Scientist Competition to name but a few have provided students with a forum to display their varied talents. Through the years the performing arts have been well displayed through the various shows and musicals. These events are always a highlight of the school year and well supported by the community.
