Leinster Colleges Success

Leinster Colleges Success Representing Coláiste Chiaráin, Sean Muddiman and Kal Cribben got off to a flying start in the Leinster Colleges 40x20 Championship 2012 when they both had double successes in the regional qualifiers in the Croke Park court on Friday 13th January.  Results 1st Year S: Coláiste Chiaráin (Kal Cribben) dft. St. Aidan's, Whitehall 30-5 and Scoil Chaitríona (Glasnevin) 22-17 U/15 S: Coláiste Chiaráin (Sean Muddiman) dft. St. Kevin's CC 30-10 and Scoil Chaitríona (Glasnevin) 27-8 

Not to be outdone, Coláiste girls  also  had a successful start to their U/16 Leinster Colleges campaign on Wednesday 17th January, when they overcame Dublin's Scoil Chaitríona in the home court. Doubles pair Áine O'Keeffe and Hannah Dagg an easy 15-1 15-1 win over Laosie Ní Dhonnchú and Caitríona Ní Charragáin while Saoirse Sunderland played excellent handball to defeat the very experienced Maebh Ní Dhálaigh on a scoreline of 15-3; 15-13. The girls now join Kal  and Sean in the final stages of their respective competitions which will take place in the coming weeks.

Gaisce Bronze Venture

Congratulations to the Bronze and Silver Gaisce students who hiked in Glendalough on the 30th of September and 1st October over 26km. They were presented their awards on tuesday the 24th of October in Mullingar by Caroline Casey.
